"A cemetery may be considered as abandoned when all or practically all of the bodies have been removed therefrom and no
bodies have been buried therein for a great many years, and the cemetery has been so long neglected as entirely to lose its identity
as such, and is no longer known, recognized and respected by the public as a cemetery. 1953 OAG 2978."

Thanking Mark Morton of "Gravestone Guardians of Ohio" for Creating This Awesome Picture Sign for My Blog!!

Extending my sincere appreciation to Mark Morton for creating this awesome picture for my blog.  I am truly honored and humbled by it!

Yes, I do love a good cemetery story; preferably one that has had a happy ending or at least moving in the direction toward one!!

But, since that isn't always the case, the blog posts contain pictures and stories of gravestones and cemeteries that need more preservation help.

Those pictures and stories come from caring and concerned folks who are reaching out to others for support and ideas to better preserve gravestones in Ohio's burial grounds whether they be large or small; new or old.

Mark's business "Gravestone Guardians of Ohio" and Jay Russell's "Respectful Interment Preservations" are two new Ohio cemetery preservation businesses that are building a reputation for conducting respectful and reliable gravestone preservation work in the Northeastern Ohio area primarily.

It has been my pleasure this past year to post information about the progress both these Ohio businesses have made in the field of gravestone and cemetery preservation in Ohio

So, please check out the website for "Gravestone Guardians of Ohio" that Mark has created for his gravestone preservation business.

The website's Main Menu includes such topics as:

I think you'll enjoy viewing the pictures and reading the information they both have posted on their Facebook Pages!
