In September of 2010, I met Mr. John "Walt" Walters of Connersville, Indiana who participated in a cemetery workshop presentation and hands-on field trip to a cemetery in Bedford, Ohio. The workshop was sponsored by the Bedford Historical Society here in Cuyahoga County. From what I know, "Walt" got the ball rolling, sort to speak; with hands-on cemetery workshops here in Ohio and has continued to lead by example with his gravestone restoration techniques which are safe for the markers.
I'm sure you'll enjoy this story entitled: "Restoring old cemeteries shows that someone cares." That someone has been Mr. John "Walt" Walters, and it is my pleasure to share his story.
Thank you, "Walt", for your dedication to gravestone preservation. Your work completed on several thousand monuments and markers in your state of Indiana, here in Ohio -- its neighbor -- and beyond, are testimonals of how great the need is for your services.
