"A cemetery may be considered as abandoned when all or practically all of the bodies have been Removed therefrom and no bodies have been buried therein for a great many years, and the cemetery has been so long neglected as entirely to lose its identity as such, and is no longer known, recognized and respected by the public as a cemetery. 1953 OAG 2978."

Notes:

You may have heard or read about the product "Wet & Forget"(AKA “Wet and Forget).

"Wet & Forget"  is advertised to remove "Moss, Mold, Mildew & Algae Stain."

1.  Please note, it is known that *some who are against using "D/2 Biological Solution" on gravestones have mentioned "Wet and Forget" -- that BOTH "Wet and Forget" and "D/2 Biological Solution" are harmful chemicals.

* Persons or companies that promote using high speed rotating Nyalox grinding wheels attached onto power drill tools to clean and ‘polish’ gravestones have made remarks they feel that their abrasive tools are less harmful on gravestones than applying "D/2 Biological Solution.”

2.  Conversely, we have read and heard from some of those who support using "Wet & Forget" make remarks that they feel "Wet & Forget" is cheaper and works just as well on removing moss, mildew, mold, etc. on gravestones as "D/2 Biological Solution."

Neither of the above statements are true.  "Wet & Forget" may be cheaper and more readily available, but it is NOT identical to "D/2 Biological Solution" nor more advantageous to use than "D/2 Biological Solution." In fact:

"WET & FORGET" IS HAZARDOUS FOR USE BY HUMANS BECAUSE OF ITS RISK THAT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS HEALTH CONSEQUENCES.
