Exploring Almost Forgotten Gravesites in the Great State of Ohio

Dedicated to cemetery preservation in the great state of Ohio

"A cemetery may be considered as abandoned when all or practically all of the bodies have been Removed therefrom and no bodies have been buried therein for a great many years, and the cemetery has been so long neglected as entirely to lose its identity as such, and is no longer known, recognized and respected by the public as a cemetery. 1953 OAG 2978."

Sharing Photographs of Walnut Creek Cemetery, Perry Township, Fayette County, Ohio from Gail Allen -- September 30, 2013

Thanking Gail Allen, who was so kind to visit Walnut Creek Cemetery in Perry Township in Fayette County, Ohio on September 30, 2013.

Gail took photographs of newer and older sections including an almost hidden away area of gravestones and monuments that drops down the hill onto adjoining Walnut Creek Road.

Gail is a "Find A Grave" photo volunteer who enjoys fulfilling photo requests for those who live farther away and are not able to visit Fayette County gravesites.
