Exploring Almost Forgotten Gravesites in the Great State of Ohio

Dedicated to cemetery preservation in the great state of Ohio

"A cemetery may be considered as abandoned when all or practically all of the bodies have been Removed therefrom and no bodies have been buried therein for a great many years, and the cemetery has been so long neglected as entirely to lose its identity as such, and is no longer known, recognized and respected by the public as a cemetery. 1953 OAG 2978."

Remembering Edna Pugh Lombard of Gomer, Ohio

Click on title to link to "Findagrave.com" memorial for Edna (Pugh) Lombard, daughter of Benjamin F. and Catherine E. (Watkins) Lombard of Gomer, Ohio. She is buried next to her parents at the Pike Run Cemetery in Gomer, (Allen County) Ohio.

Edna Pugh was married to Harry Lombard who was a younger brother to my grandmother, Essie Lillian (Lombard) Limes.
About two weeks after giving birth to their daughter, Melba, Edna died. Her obituary is quite sad to read and I wanted to share it.
Edna's life was short, but she left a beautiful daughter, Melba, who lived to be 90 years old.
