Recent Vandalism at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls (Summit County), Ohio

Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls (Summit County), has suffered repeated vandalism that have affected many gravesites including those of veterans.

Currently, Oakwood Cemetery has 7,959 interments posted on the website, "Find A Grave," including a  separate listing for its Sultana Civil War Veteran's Memorial monument of white marble and bronze plaque honoring those who served in the Union Army during the Civil War.  

Hopefully, the television newscasts will bring better news in the days ahead about repair to the markers and monuments and that those who are responsible for the extensive vandalism at Oakwood Cemetery having been apprehended and brought to justice.
