Exploring Almost Forgotten Gravesites in the Great State of Ohio

Dedicated to cemetery preservation in the great state of Ohio

"A cemetery may be considered as abandoned when all or practically all of the bodies have been Removed therefrom and no bodies have been buried therein for a great many years, and the cemetery has been so long neglected as entirely to lose its identity as such, and is no longer known, recognized and respected by the public as a cemetery. 1953 OAG 2978."

Unlike most other Ohio counties, not all of the Trumbull County WPA Cemetery Plat maps show a page number in the lower right corner.

Also, neither Plat Book 1 or Plat Book 2 has an Index that lists the cemetery names and the map pages they appear on; no doubt because of this situation of some pages not having page numbers while others do.
There is a Trumbull County map divided into Book No. 1 and Book No. 2 that serves as a cemetery locator map.  It is combined with a listing of the cemeteries that has a "Key" column with a number that corresponds to the number in the circle on the map that designates a cemetery's location.
All of this information is contained on one page making the information quite small to easily read.

Created below for enlargement purposes, are the listed cemetery names divided into 3 pages, and the map itself has a stand alone page.
