Exploring Almost Forgotten Gravesites in the Great State of Ohio

Dedicated to cemetery preservation in the great state of Ohio

"A cemetery may be considered as abandoned when all or practically all of the bodies have been Removed therefrom and no bodies have been buried therein for a great many years, and the cemetery has been so long neglected as entirely to lose its identity as such, and is no longer known, recognized and respected by the public as a cemetery. 1953 OAG 2978."

Sharing Stone Revival Historical Preservation's Latest Post & My Small Marker Comparison

From "Stone Revival Historical Preservation:

My examples below show small markers on bases.

The top photo was taken December 13, 2014 and the lower photo was taken April 12, 2015.

Thus, sometime between December of last year and April of this year, someone who was trained in using Nyalox brushes and power tools finished the other two small markers and now all three are in altered states that cannot be undone.

The base under the one on the far right was needing attachment to its marker in December, and it still was not repaired in April. Thus, making one wonder why that much more important work was left unfinished?
