Reminder - "Finding Your Way Around 'Find A Grave.'" Presentation - Monday, August 13, 2012 at the North Ridgeville Branch of the Lorain County Library hosted by The Lorain County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society - Meeting Starts at 6:30p.m

It will be my great pleasure to address the Lorain County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society with a presentation entitled:  "Finding Your Way Around 'Find A Grave.'" coming up on August 13th.  

The general meeting begins first at 6:30a.m. with the presentation following at 7:00p.m.  

The meeting location is the North Ridgeville Branch of the Lorain Public Library.

"Find A Grave" is indeed one of the most massive website's offered on the Internet today.  

"Find A Grave" carries its own unique intensity promoting its primary purpose to help researchers locate the final resting places of friends, family and famous people.  

I will attempt to cover some of the main points on how "Find A Grave" is important to a researcher's goal of reaching successful results on all those fronts through utilizing many of the tools built in to this one-of-a-kind resource.  

New discoveries, ideas, "Find A Grave Friends" and even long-lost cousins await many an avid "Graver" (general meaning: those who enjoy visiting cemeteries and recording gravestone inscriptions) as they wend their way through "Find A Grave's" serendipitous threads most of us have come to call "website links."

"Meetings are held the second Monday of each month in the meeting room at the North Ridgeville Branch of the Lorain Public Library, 35700 Bainbridge Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039, 440-327-8326. 

Social Time: 6:30 pm; the general meeting and program begins at 7:00 pm. Exceptions such as field trips, picnics and other activities will be announced in advance here and in the Lorain County Researcher. Check back for a link to the upcoming programs so that you might plan your calendar for attendance of our meetings!!"
