Sharing news stories like this one are a true joy! They are a welcome departure from reading almost daily reports about cemeteries in Ohio having been vandalized, or the ongoing thefts occurring in them. These issues, and those about active cemeteries becoming orphaned through no fault of their own, seem to dominate cemetery related news articles. Sadly, the stark realities with them need to be shared because they adversely affect many people.

So it is that reading this one provides us so much proof that cemetery preservation in Ohio is definitely going strong and those involved with it are making a significant difference!
Congratulations to everyone who has been connected with this effort and has contributed to it.

“We firmly believe this endeavor was supposed to happen!,” Mary Reinhart, a member of the committee organized to memorialize the cemetery, said in an email. “We have had so many wonderful people join in our quest and give so much time and talents to get this project to flow so well!”
