Dorothy Eleanor Provoznik stone at Calvary Cemetery - Lorain, Ohio

Calvary Cemetery on North Ridge Road in Lorain, Ohio is one of my favorite cemeteries! There are many reasons for my fondness for this cemetery not the least of which is that I have several relatives buried there on my mother's side of the family.

Here are "before" and "after" cleaning views of the Dorothy Eleanor Provoznik stone. The "before" photograph was taken in May of 2005 and the "after" photograph was taken two years later in May of 2007.

Dorothy Eleanor Provoznik was the daughter of Frank and Anna Edna (Zagorsky) Provoznik.

Anna Edna's parents were Michael and Marie Zagorsky. Michael Zagorsky was my maternal grandfather's brother (Andrew Zagorsky).

Walnut Creek Cemetery - Perry Township - Fayette County, Ohio

Photos of Harvey Limes' stone (above) and his mother's stone (Athaliah [Doster] Limes) (below) located in the rear older section at Walnut Creek Cemetery which sits across from Buckeye Hills Golf Course. The cemetery is maintained by the Perry Township Trustees. Walnut Creek is an active cemetery, however, like many older cemeteries contains a large older section with deteriorating gravestones.

The Harvey Limes' stone was once mostly hidden by a large bush. After chopping away the bush, however, rusted weedwhacker marks can now be seen on the stone due to careless grounds workers.

Butcher Cemetery - North Lewisburg, Ohio - Nancy Brock Butcher stone re-set upside down

To the left is the Nancy (Brock) Butcher, wife of Dr. John Butcher original stone, at one point re-set, however, upside down.

Daughter, Anna (Butcher) Callendar is buried to the right.
