Once again, I'm sharing some photographs sent to me by Diana Goodes, "Find A Grave" contributor. Diana visited some of Ohio's cemeteries in November of 2010 and photographed various gravestones, Civil War monuments, and cemetery landscapes.

Today, I'm posting photographs Diana took at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, Champaign County, Ohio.
There are three famous interments listed on "Find A Grave" for Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanicsburg:
***
***
William Bart Saxbe, U. S. Ambassador and Ohio Senator.
"Find A Grave" contributor, Bill McKern, has posted a nice photograph of Senator Saxbe on his memorial. Bill credits the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum for the photograph.
"Find A Grave" contributor, Rob Weller, has posted a wonderful Civil War era photograph of him on his memorial.
***
Addison White, "A runaway slave." "During the Civil War, he served with the 54th Massachusetts Infantry,
before returning to Mechanicsburg where he worked at the city's street
department."
"Find A Grave" contributor, Bigwoo, has posted a wonderful early photograph of Addison White on his memorial.

Currently, there are 4,993 interments listed on "Find A Grave" for the Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Fifteen gravestone photo requests are waiting for photo volunteers to fulfill them by walking Maple Grove Cemetery, taking the gravestone pictures, and posting them on their corresponding memorials.
The photo volunteer program is a fantastic feature of "Find A Grave" and has helped so many of us see gravestones of relatives, friends, and even early ancestors that we might not see otherwise.
Thank you Diana for sharing your photographs with us!
