Exploring Almost Forgotten Gravesites in the Great State of Ohio

Dedicated to cemetery preservation in the great state of Ohio

"A cemetery may be considered as abandoned when all or practically all of the bodies have been Removed therefrom and no bodies have been buried therein for a great many years, and the cemetery has been so long neglected as entirely to lose its identity as such, and is no longer known, recognized and respected by the public as a cemetery. 1953 OAG 2978."

Spotlighting: "Ohio Cemeteries" - Featuring FamilySearch.org

Many of us who also engage in genealogical research (which I firmly feel goes hand-in-hand with locating and visiting gravesites) are aware of the advantages of researching through the free website "FamilySearch.org."

There is so much to explore on "FamilySearch.org" and more new links are added almost daily.

I would like to share here one page in particular:  "Ohio Cemeteries"  AND extend my personal appreciation to "FamilySearch" for including "Exploring Almost Forgotten Gravesites in Ohio" blog on their list of Ohio cemetery resources!

So, please take some time soon to enjoy checking out "Ohio Cemeteries"
