Exploring Almost Forgotten Gravesites in the Great State of Ohio

Dedicated to cemetery preservation in the great state of Ohio

"A cemetery may be considered as abandoned when all or practically all of the bodies have been Removed therefrom and no bodies have been buried therein for a great many years, and the cemetery has been so long neglected as entirely to lose its identity as such, and is no longer known, recognized and respected by the public as a cemetery. 1953 OAG 2978."

Sharing a "Youtube" video by a You Tube contributor - August 27, 2022 - Mount Tabor Church (defunct) and Cemetery

Sharing this Youtube video taken by a contributor August 27, 2022 at the Mount Tabor Church Cemetery in Salem Twp., Champaign County, Ohio.  It runs just over 9 minutes.

Mentioning that sharing cemetery videos helps others not able to visit to see the current condition of the grounds, markers, and monuments.

Noting how Ohio History Connection markers at cemeteries can attract visitors to stop and read it, thus learning more about a cemetery.  In this case, a now defunct church and cemetery.

The two majestic white bronze monuments that also make this cemetery unique and historic are shown briefly in this video.  It is good to see them still intact!
